| Joanne Wiren is the owner and founder of Joanne Katherine Designs. After many years of working as a court stenographer and owning her own company, she finally found a creative outlet for something she has loved since she was a little girl, fashion design and jewelry. In 2005 she began designing jewelry for herself, and because she has always had an eye for style and color, soon her unique designs had people talking. She began getting requests to custom design pieces for friends and family and eventually was asked to display and sell her jewelry in several boutiques. She is up on the latest trends whether it is delicate or dainty to classic chic or funky, chunky beads, she makes something for everyone. She uses only the highest quality materials including: Swarovski crystals, Czech glass beads, Vintage beads, ethnic beads, gemstones and freshwater pearls. Sterling silver is incorporated into almost every piece of jewelry that is made. Joanne is a native of New Hampshire and currently resides in Concord. She lives there with her husband, James. They have two grown daughters, Kelly and Katie who live nearby in Boston. With the help of her family and using her creative eye, what started out as a hobby has turned into a passion and a business for Joanne and she couldn't be more thrilled. In January 2006 Joanne decided to use her craft and get involved in the fight against breast cancer. She recently created a gorgeous sterling silver, basket weave bracelet made with Swarovski crystals and Venetian glass beads from Italy. She incorporates either a pink ribbon or Venetian glass heart bead (your choice) into the design and a portion of the proceeds will go to the American Breast Cancer Foundation.
